The EarthChannel provides high quality, personalized streaming services focused on the small to the mid-sized user. Our servers are connected to the Internet via gigabit-connections and each is designed to deliver up to 1000Mbits of high-quality Microsoft Windows Media streams. That translates to over 10,000 simultaneous 48Kbs streams for dial-up viewers or as few as 1500 high quality 512Kbs streams for high-bandwidth, broadband viewers. Should your streams demand a larger audience or higher datarates, we can load-balance a bank of servers to accomodate virtually any load up to 10Gb. EarthChannel never puts artificial limits on your audience size.

We support the Windows Media format to achieve the highest quality and to assure the greatest client-side player compatibility. Windows Media Player ships with all Microsoft® Windows® operating systems and is also available for free download and upgrade from Microsoft's Windows Media web site. Windows 95/98/NT/2K/XP, MAC v8.1+ & Solaris operating systems are supported. Microsoft Windows Media Encoder is also a free download.
